The Pickin’ Mix are an acoustic duo and roaming band who perform at weddings and events in London, the Home Counties and Internationally.
The Pickin’ Mix specialise in the feel good factor. They want your event to be a roaring success.You can choose from a range of line ups; the acoustic duo, the terrific trio, the fabulous four piece or the full blown five piece band.
Whether you are after a lively and interactive performance or more of a background classy, atmospheric vibe, we will cater to your needs. When we speak to you about your wedding or event, we will go through many details with you . . . guest numbers / where we will be performing / your preference of song choices and so on. Once we know all of those details, we will work with you and your venue to design the perfect package for your special day. In many cases, we combine a variety of line ups.
As a band, we have many different PA sets ups (that’s our sound systems). This means that not only can we perform at huge events with 100’s of people, but we can also perform at intimate wedding ceremonies in a field with no access to electricity – because we also have battery powered speakers which we can carry absolutely anywhere!
When it comes to International Weddings . . . we love nothing more than packing the suitcases and jumping on a plane. We can fly with all of our acoustic instruments, and we can also bring the smaller roaming speakers with us in our hand luggage. This eliminates the need to hire expensive equipment abroad and makes us one of the most cost efficient roaming bands to book for international events.
The Pickin’ Mix Acoustic Duo is where it all started. Emily and Mike have performed together for years and their great friendship makes for an equally great performing style – fun, natural and always intent on giving you a great time!
Emily and Mike are both exceptionally experienced performers who have worked internationally and all over the UK. They have been honing their craft for 15 years and their professionalism is undeniable.
The acoustic duo line up is best suited for wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and garden parties where you want to add that special something extra! The acoustic duo have the ability to roam around your guests, mixing and mingling and creating that lovely buzz that only live music can muster.
After a few years of great success, The Pickin’ Mix expanded and as you can see, we now have the five piece Pickin’ Mix roaming band. We also have every option in between! Depending on your budget and also venue size, we can adapt the band to suit your needs.You can book the roaming band as the duo, trio, 4 piece or 5 piece.
All line ups have the ability to roam, and for many events, we switch up the band throughout the day. Perhaps starting with the acoustic duo, then adding a third instrument and ending with the full five piece band.
We love nothing more than a great party and the five piece band really ensures that we can get every single person singing and dancing along. The five piece band is particularly popular for wedding breakfasts with guests wanting to inject some fun to the often low key part of the day.
